With every purchase, ChiSpree will donate a percentage to a trustworthy local charity of your choice. You will have the option to select which charity we will give to on the purchase page. San Diego Blood Bank
Lives depend on the San Diego Blood Bank and financial contributions ensure that our lifesaving programs continue to touch the lives of local hospital patients every day. One blood donation has the potential to save up to two lives. One financial donation could save thousands.
In December 1950 the San Diego Blood Bank was established through the support of the San Diego County Medical Society. The foresight and dedication of founding fathers Dr. Thomas O’Connell and Dr. Frederick G. Hollander, led us to the San Diego Blood Bank of today, an organization known for excellence in its service to our community.
Whether you chose to donate money, donate a vehicle, name the San Diego Blood Bank in your will, orbecome a sponsor, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution strengthens our ability to save lives.
Surfrider Foundation
Surfrider’s mission is the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.
You can think about that as three concepts:
- “Protection and enjoyment”, we don’t want to put a velvet rope around a beach and tell people to keep off. We’re surfers, we’re beach goers, we’re watermen… we enjoy the coasts. We’re a user group.
- Next up is “oceans, waves and beaches.” Think coastlines, we’re engaged with environmental issues that affect our coastlines.
- “Powerful activist network” speaks to how we go about this mission. We are a grassroots organization. We’re local in many coastal regions.
We’re moms, we’re surfers, we’re kids and teens… we’re you. We’re engaged to protect what we love: oceans, waves and beaches.

PCI – Project Concern International
PCI’s mission is to prevent disease, improve community health and promote sustainable development worldwide.
Vision
Motivated by our concern for the world’s most vulnerable children, families and communities, PCI envisions a world where abundant resources are shared, communities are able to provide for the health and well-being of their members, and children and families can achieve lives of hope, good health and self-sufficiency.
Strong Roots
In 1961, a young doctor from San Diego volunteering at a Tijuana clinic saved the lives of two small children who were dying of pneumonia. This experience led Dr. James Turpin to found PCI and forever change the lives of millions of children and families around the world by providing health and hope to those most in need. Since then, the focus of the organization has remained true to its founder: PCI works in vulnerable communities to improve health and create long-term change by helping people help themselves. For 50 years, thousands of dedicated individuals and groups have worked to make this vision a reality.
Moderate Majority
Mission
Moderate Majority is an independent grassroots coalition working to put an end to political partisanship in order to promote universal access to basic needs and rights.
We envision an American citizenry armed with the courage, will, and know-how to address and resolve localized issues of systemic poverty and injustice.
Goals
Restore community self-sufficiency by directly engaging local residents in addressing issues of the public welfare.
Combat representative disengagement by promoting public policies that support our mission.
Values
Independence. Moderate Majority accepts donations only from individuals and businesses with fewer than 250 employees, proving that average Americans can make lasting change in their own communities without big business or big government.
Egalitarianism. Moderate Majority believes every American can contribute to the project of fulfilling the American dream. From our own workplace to our volunteer meetings to the halls of government, we work to make sure every good idea is heard, no matter where it comes from.
People-Focused Politics. Moderate Majority’s work in politics and the law will seek to use the systems of government not as mechanisms for a special interest agenda, but as instruments for the protection of basic needs and rights.
Hearts and Hands Animal Rescue and Education & Therapy Center
Our Mission is to give of our skills in the animal communications and care fields, to give our love and labor and share an environment for the healing of animals that are in dire need. We facilitate the expertise, guidance and utmost care for them, so that they may recover from neglect, injury, cruelty or from being unwanted or endangered. We assist them in finding happy and enriched lives in forever homes. In addition, we share these animals with children and adults, who’s lives may be parallel in events or circumstances. Our educational programs teach people how to properly care for animals, how to train them with friendship, and how we can learn from them. The animals are blessings and encouragement to all who meet them.
